Buchan, Part 12 - February 4

Oh I got this 2019 thing DOWN! I write it correctly in my journal/planner properly all the bleeding time! I didne have it for the first few days, but now I've got it.

Things are BUTT-cold here. And pretty icy; we slip all the time.

We've started chapping in a very...humble part of town. It's actually the sketchiest place I've ever chapped. We go into these flat complexes, and we feel so tense and it's so creepy. The people are often very nice though. 80% of our contacts are Polish or Latvian or Lithuanian or something.

Callum accepted a baptism date this week, which was great. Infatuation is totally a part of it, but I think we could also tell this time that he has some interest in turning his life around and becoming a better man, and he sees the church as a way of doing that. We're going to be making sure he reads and prays.

The girl he likes recently texted us out of the blue and is asking for lessons from us, because she feels she has no testimony. She feels like she keeps praying to know if the church is true, but she gets no answer. So we're gonna meet with her, but it's kinda weird 'cause she doesn't want us to tell anyone, and she's only 16.

We're gonna have nothing too fun to do today, just travel and cleaning and getting Elder Long a haircut. I'm sending a video of Elder Long doing an impressive impression of the scariest woman ever we met on Saturday.

How is the new Sunday school thing going? it's going...alright over here. And apparently it's causing all kinds of contention in Elder Long's home ward.

Olivia's starting to look like a big girl!

Love you.
